About this car
1987 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible listed on eBay in Chatsworth, California. Listing shows 44,228 miles, Manual transmission. Asking price $29,950 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Matte black finish is even across the car, which sits on big aftermarket wheels — but a matte finish hides the swirls and chips that gloss paint would show, so panel condition can't be judged the usual way.
- Three of the 16 frames are dealer advert graphics, not photos of the car.
- Black interior is tidy with carbon-look dash and console trim and a manual shifter; the seats show only light use.
- Engine bay is the tuned-port V8, honest and undetailed, with surface-rust colouring on the exhaust manifolds.
- The soft top is never photographed up — can't judge its fabric or rear window.
- No underside or legible odometer photo in the 16 viewed.
Money: at $29,950 this is top money for an '87 C4 convertible — you're paying for the matte-black look, and the photos can't verify what's under the finish or the state of the top.
