Single family ownership. One of 11 built in Black Rose Metallic. Recently serviced with receipts. Runs and drives superbly, everything works. Well documented. A spectacular late ZR-1 in awesome colors with a bulletproof pedigree. The window sticker for this 1994 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 explains why these cars didn't sell well when they were new: $36,185 for the base Corvette and $31,258 for the ZR-1 Special Performance Package. Many buyers just didn't see the upside of an engine upgrade that doubled the cost of the car. But oh, how mistaken they were! The ZR-1 isn't merely a Corvette with 105 extra horsepower. No, from behind the wheel it feels like an entirely different car. The song of the mighty LT5 V8 is music. |

What the photos show
- All 16 sampled photos are exterior studio shots — no interior, engine bay or underside photos in the sample.
- The dark purple metallic paint has a deep gloss and the panels look clean in close-up; the lower rear valance looks dull and dusty next to the glossy paint above it.
- ZR-1 badges are photographed on the rear bumper and it sits on the correct-looking five-spoke wheels — but badges bolt on.
- Interior can only be glimpsed through the glass (grey leather seats) — it can't be judged.
- Engine bay is never photographed, so the LT5 that makes a ZR-1 worth ZR-1 money can't be confirmed from the photos; no VIN is shown either.
- Underside is never photographed.
Money: at $42,900 this is ZR-1 money for a C4 — with no photo of the LT5 and no VIN shown, verify the car is a real ZR-1 before paying, because a base LT1 coupe is worth a fraction of the ask.
