About this car
1963 Chevrolet Impala at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $87,998. Black over Black, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Black '63 Impala SS hardtop in Volo studio shots: the black paint is deep and glossy from every angle shown, the body looks straight, and the chrome and side trim are bright, including a clean SS badge close-up.
- Stock steel wheels with full covers and narrow whitewalls; nothing to fault at this distance.
- The black vinyl cabin is photographed in depth — bucket seats, console, white-knob 4-speed, column tach — and the upholstery, door cards and dash all look fresh and unworn.
- Two of the final frames are dealer advert graphics, not the car.
- Engine bay is never photographed in the 16 viewed — on an SS the engine is the value item and it can't be judged here.
- Underside, trunk and any tag or VIN photo are absent from the sample.
Money: at $87,998 the body and cabin photograph to a high standard, but no engine bay photo means the SS drivetrain is taken on trust — see the bay and the numbers before paying restored-SS money.
