About this car
1964 Chevrolet Impala at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $73,998. Blue over Blue, Powerglide Auto
What the photos show
- Dark blue '64 Impala SS hardtop, Volo studio set: paint deep and glossy, chrome and side trim bright, polished five-spoke wheels; the exterior is photographed from every angle and looks show-finished.
- Blue interior is photographed in depth and looks fresh — buckets with console, correct patterned cloth inserts, tidy door cards and dash; the odometer reads 09,755 and the door-jamb VIN plate is photographed.
- The sample then spends frame after frame on gauge macros (the same cluster appears four times in the final stretch) — while the engine bay is never photographed at all in the 16 viewed.
- That gap matters: the fender wears the V-flag emblem, but with no bay photo the engine can't even be identified from the gallery, let alone judged.
- Underside is never photographed.
Money: at $73,998 the cosmetics photograph beautifully, but an Impala SS at this money is an engine story — and the engine is the one thing this gallery never shows, so price it only after the hood is up.
