• This Unique Classic Cars gallery is polluted: 6 of the 17 frames are other vehicles entirely (a flame-painted S-10 pickup, a lifted square-body truck and a magenta 1950s Chevy pickup, two frames each); the Impala's own frames cover exterior, cabin, engine bay and one underside view, and four of them carry 'MORE PHOTOS COMING SOON!' banners.
• In its own photos the white paint is glossy and straight and the black vinyl roof looks tidy; chrome is bright and it sits on aftermarket five-spoke wheels.
• Black vinyl interior looks honest and tidy — bucket seats, console with floor shifter, clean dash.
• Engine bay is photographed: an orange big-block with a '396' air-cleaner decal, tidy and detailed — stampings decide whether it is a born 396 car.
• One low underside photo shows black-coated floors and a tidy exhaust run; the rest of the underside can't be judged from a single frame.

Money: at $42,900 the Impala's own photos show a tidy SS with its big-block bay on show, but judge only the Impala frames, ignore the three pickups sharing the gallery, and verify the engine stampings before paying 396 money.
