About this car
1980 Jeep CJ7 at Streetside Classics in Charlotte, NC, $42,995. Smoke Gray Metallic over None, 54,706 miles, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Grey paint with blue Renegade stripes is glossy and even, shown both with the white hardtop fitted and topless with the cage — decals are crisp, panels straight.
- Light blue interior is a highlight: high-back buckets and rear bench all photograph fresh, with matching door cards.
- A Warn winch is mounted on the front bumper, and it sits on white steel wheels with BF Goodrich all-terrains.
- Engine bay is photographed once: an honest, grubby bay with surface rust on the radiator top and brake booster — it does not match the standard of the paint and cabin.
- The odometer in the dash photo reads 54,709.
- No underside photo appears in the 16 viewed — on a CJ the frame is the whole ballgame, and it can't be judged from these.
Money: at $42,995 the body and cabin are strong, but a CJ is bought on its frame — get underside photos and budget a bay tidy before paying top Renegade money.
