A fully equipped Bonneville could cost more than a Cadillac. It paced the Indianapolis 500 in its first year. The latter was not just ad copy, either, as Pontiac pushed its wheels further out toward the fenders than anyone else and created what were considered to be the best-cornering full-size cars in the industry. |

About this car
1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible listed on eBay in Torrance, California. Listing shows 99,742 miles, Automatic transmission, Gray exterior. Current bid $25,875 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Silver paint is smooth and glossy on every panel in the warehouse shots, the long sides run straight, and the stacked-headlight chrome and big bumpers are bright.
- Blue-grey vinyl interior is a highlight: seats look supple with no splits showing, the woodgrain dash is complete with clock, radio and air-conditioning vents, and the trim is all in place.
- Odometer photographs at 99,743 in the dash close-ups.
- The white top boot is fitted in the photos; the soft top itself is never shown raised, so its fabric and window can't be judged.
- Engine bay can't be judged — no photo of it in the 16 viewed.
- Underside can't be judged — no photo of it in the 16 viewed.
Money: at $25,875 the paint and that preserved interior support the ask for a '63 Bonneville convertible — the unseen engine bay, floors and the top under the boot are the in-person checks.
