About this car
1963 Ford Galaxie listed on eBay in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Listing shows 10,071 miles, Automatic transmission, Black exterior. Asking price $54,900 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Black '63½ Galaxie fastback in drag trim (Garage Kept Motors' eBay store) — all 16 photos in the sample are exterior: teardrop hood scoop with pins, steel rear wheels with wide drag radials, contingency stickers in the side glass and a 'Holman Moody' plate on the front bumper, which is a novelty plate, not provenance.
- The black paint is mirror-glossy and the trim bright in the seller's close-ups.
- The interior is only glimpsed through the glass — a green bench cabin that can't be judged properly from outside.
- The engine bay is never photographed — the pinned hood never opens in a single frame, so whatever FE is (or isn't) under the scoop is unseen.
- The underside is never photographed, so the frame can't be judged.
- The dealer's own website lists a '63 Galaxie at the same price with no photos at all; this eBay set appears to be that car.
Money: at $54,900 the look is pure '63 lightweight theatre, but with no engine, cabin or underside photo in either listing, the drivetrain and the VIN are the purchase — verify both before paying.
